Some members were wondering why there was no blue dye in the weed treatment anymore.
Heres the response from PLM:
"As of a few years ago, we can no longer acid wash our boats at our shopsince the wash water drains into a pond that can potentially flow out. Nowmost of our guys have to wash boats in the field. That blue dye is a realmess and our guys have found it much easier to not use it since it makes theboats much easier to clean. The dye has no herbicide effect and is simplya tracer so that we can see where we have been. We still use it if theapplication requires it but shoreline treatments typically don't.".
We had our own Lake Board member Bill Kiss and family as our Grand Marshall leading 6 boats that were decorated for our boat parade. Everyone did an excellent job decorating. And here are the results........
Tied for first place were the Neubauers (Dory theme), and Younkers (beach theme), tied for second place were, Kussmans (patriotic theme), and Eric & Tammy (pirates theme), third place was Harry (Indian theme), fourth place was Rohrbachs (patriotic theme). A thank you to all who participated and our crew of 6 judges that had to make some tough decisions......... Thanks to the Kussmans for taking pictures of all who participated, you can see the pictures on our website.
SEE YOU IN 2017!!!!!
