July 4 Activities Around Lake of the Woods

Start the day watching the annual July 4 parade.  
​A good spot to watch the parade is along the sidewalk by the VFW Celery Post 6248.  After the parade the VFW has kid games, hot dogs, popcorn, chips and beverages at prices you can not beat.  And you get to see some pretty neat looking tanks and a helicopter on the VFW lawn!. ​The parade kicks off at Mills and W. Delaware at 11:00 pm  goes down Deleware to East St. to E. St. Marys to N. Phelps ending at VFW 560 N Phelps

​Check out the boat parade on Lake of the Woods!
Decorate your boat for the annual LOWIA boat parade! The boats muster at 6 pm on the north shore of the lake. Look for the Pontoon with the Grand Marshall signs.The parade begins at 6:30 pm.

Watch the fireworks!
The best place to watch the fireworks is from your boat floating on the lake! They start just after sundown.
