LOW 2017 weed treatment

PLM has notified the LOWIA that they will be starting lake treatments earlier this year than in the past, they will start with Sonar treatments.  Check your USPS mail and this website for the current treatment schedule, it will be posted as soon as we receive it.  The last time PLM did a sonar treatment on our lake was 11 years ago, our lake has done very well the past years with our current PLM treatment program.  Although, last year more Milfoil weeds were noticed as the season went on. Sonar is a slow acting treatment of the entire lake to keep Milfoil in check.  Then as the season continues, PLM will be spot treating for any more Milfoil and also for Starry Stonewort.  The Starry Stonewort should not be appearing in our lake until June or July, and when spotted it will be treated.
